Our Mission

Why we exist

We exist to connect people to entertainment — to align interests, to save you money through one transparent booking fee, and to increase the overall value of your event.

Three promises

What that mission means for you

01 / ALIGN

Aligned interests

Our pay never changes based on what you spend. We have no reason to push you toward a bigger act or a bigger budget — only toward the right one.

02 / SAVE

Real savings

Instead of a percentage buried in your bill, you pay one transparent booking fee. You keep the difference that a traditional buyer would have quietly taken.

03 / ELEVATE

More value from the booking

From sourcing to settlement, we manage the booking details so the act, the price, and the paperwork all line up — and the money you spend buys a better night.

The transparent difference

One fee. Nothing hidden.

Most talent buyers get paid more when you spend more. Their cut is a percentage — or a markup hidden in the price — so the pricier the act, the bigger their check. When you sit down to negotiate, they're quietly rooting against you.

We're not. We charge one transparent price, period. We don't make a dollar more whether the artist costs $2,000 or $20,000 — so when we push the price down, we're pushing for you, not against our own paycheck. You see the artist fee at cost, with zero markup from us. And we take nothing from the artist's side, either — you're the only one who pays us, so you're the only side we're on.

We don't provide production. Sound, lighting, and staging come from your own vendors — or, for an additional $50-per-event service fee ($45 each when you book multiple), we'll help you find a trusted production company.

The independent advantage

What you save goes straight back into your event.

A commission buyer's cut grows with every dollar you spend. Ours never moves — one transparent price. Here's what that's worth at your budget, and what you could do with it instead.

No surprises

Exactly what your fee covers

So there's zero confusion before you ever sign: here's what we do for one transparent price — and what stays in your hands.

What we do Included

Your transparent price — $150 ($135/event for multiple)
  • Source artists that fit your date, crowd, and budget
  • Negotiate the real price — not the sticker price
  • Lay out transparent options with every cost in plain sight
  • Handle the contract, deposit, and insurance paperwork
  • Advance the booking with the artist's team and settle it cleanly

What you arrange Not included

Production — optional help finding a company, $50/event service fee ($45 multiple)
  • Sound, lighting, and staging — provided by your own vendors
  • The venue, power, and any rentals it requires
  • The artist's fee and travel (paid directly, at cost — no markup from us)
  • Want help? We'll help you find a trusted production company for an additional per-event service fee.
How it works

From first idea to final encore

01

Tell us about your event

Your date, your crowd, your budget, and the artists on your wishlist. One short form gets us started.

02

We source & negotiate

Tell us who you want and we'll reach the right agents to find them and check availability — then press for the real price, not the sticker price.

03

You see transparent options

Every option laid out with the full cost in plain sight, plus our transparent fee. You choose with all the numbers in front of you.

04

We lock the deal

Contracts, deposits, and insurance — handled correctly and on time, on both sides of the booking.

05

We advance the booking

We confirm the details with the artist's team — schedule, technical needs, and hospitality — so everyone shows up on the same page. Need production? We don't provide it, but for an additional $50-per-event service fee ($45 when you book multiple) we'll help you find a trusted sound, lighting, and staging company.

06

Settlement & closeout

We make sure the artist is paid and the booking is closed out cleanly — so the date you booked goes off without a hitch.

Why Entertainment Advisors

A booking partner on your side of the table

One transparent fee

$150 per event, or $135 when you book several. Our pay doesn't move with your budget, so our only job is the right act at the right price.

Real relationships

Whoever you want to book, we know how to reach the right people to make it happen — relationships built from years inside the college and live-entertainment booking world.

The booking, handled end to end

One point of contact from the first call to final settlement of the booking. You make the decisions; we run the sourcing, negotiating, and paperwork.

Production help — not provided

We don't supply sound, lighting, or staging. If you'd like, we'll help you find a trusted production company for an additional $50-per-event service fee — $45 when you book multiple — so finding the right vendor doesn't become your job.

Who you're working with

Real people, real booking experience.

Entertainment Advisors isn't a faceless marketplace. We come out of the college and live-entertainment booking world — the same rooms where these deals actually get made. Before launching this firm, we produced over 1,000 live events, and we built Entertainment Advisors to put that experience on your side of the table.

We've seen how the old model works: a buyer's pay rises with your budget, so the incentive is always to spend more. We flipped it. One set price, full transparency, and a booking handled the way we'd want it handled for our own event.

Questions, answered plainly

The things people ask before they trust us

If you don't take a commission, how do you make money?
One transparent price per event — $150, or $135 each when you book multiple. That's our entire pay. We never take a percentage of your budget and never mark up the artist's price, so we have no reason to push you toward a bigger spend. Our only job is the right act at the right price.
What exactly does the $150 cover?
Your fee covers the booking itself: sourcing artists, negotiating the price, laying out transparent options, and handling the contract, deposit, and insurance paperwork — then advancing the booking with the artist's team and settling it after the show. It does not include production. Sound, lighting, and staging are arranged through your own vendors. If you'd like help, we can find a sound, lighting, and staging company for you for an additional $50-per-event service fee ($45 when you book multiple).
I've never booked talent before. Is that a problem?
Not at all — that's exactly who we're built for. You tell us the date, the crowd, and a budget. We translate that into real, available options and walk you through every number. You make the calls; we carry the load and keep you from the rookie mistakes that cost real money.
What happens if the artist cancels or something goes wrong?
Every booking goes through a written performance agreement that spells out cancellation, weather, and payment terms up front — that's the whole point of papering it correctly. If something comes up, you have a clear contract and one person on your side working it, not a dead end.
Why don't you handle production yourselves?
Because booking and production are two different crafts, and pretending to do both is how buyers hide markup. We stay focused on getting you the right act at the right price. When you need sound, lighting, or staging, you use your own vendors — or we'll help you find a trusted production company for an additional $50-per-event service fee ($45 when you book multiple).
How soon will I hear back after I submit the form?
Within one business day. Your form comes straight to us with everything we need to start sourcing, so the first reply usually includes real questions — or real options — not a generic auto-response.

Still have a question? Email us at hello@startabooking.com — a real person will answer.

08

What you're agreeing to

In plain terms — the full performance agreement will spell these out in detail:
  • Our booking fee — $150 per event, or $135 per event when you book multiple at once — is paid up front to get started.
  • Our fee covers sourcing, negotiating, and booking the talent only. We do not provide production — sound, lighting, or staging. You arrange production through your own vendors; if you'd like, we'll help you find a trusted production company for an additional $50-per-event service fee ($45 per event when you book multiple).
  • A deposit is due to hold your date; the remaining balance is due the day of the event.
  • Please sign and return the agreement within 30 days.
  • The show goes on rain or shine unless conditions are truly unsafe. If severe weather cancels it but the artist is ready to perform, payment may still be owed.
  • No recording or filming the performance, and any use of the artist's name or photos needs their approval first.
  • The terms of your booking are confidential.
